1.4 Efficacy

The unique property of Dermatopoietin to stimulate the renewal and restructuring of human skin provides the basis for the development of effective cosmetic products with a broad spectrum of activities. Being a big molecule of 17kD Dermatopoietin does not penetrate through epidermis (see Fig.). It exerts its effects by triggering a cascade of signaling molecules as confirmed by human dermatological studies.

24-hour exposition of artificial skin patches to Dermatopoietin at concentrations 15'000 times higher than in cosmetic products. Dermatopoietin was FITS-labeled. The exposition resulted in visible absorption of Dermatopoietin to the stratum corneum only (red arrows). There was no fluorescence visible in deeper cell layers. White arrows indicate the  polycarbonate membrane.

DERMATOPOIETIN™ passed a series of tests and meets all the requirements of the most recent European cosmetic standards.
