Cosmetic Developments under EU Directive
The EU Cosmetics Directive stipulates that product data have to be kept readily accessible for all cosmetic products which are on the European market. An important part of this product information is the safety assessment of the cosmetic product by a scientist with a diploma in the field of pharmacy, toxicology, chemistry, food chemistry or a related discipline. Most of the safety data required for this come from testing of individual ingredients. This includes not only the overall toxicological profile of individual ingredients and their chemical structure but also the level of exposure of the user, i.e. the extent of skin contact or the duration of use. We can provide you a comprehensive safety assessment and preparation of a safety data sheet based on the available test results following the EU Cosmetic Directive.
